FOR A QUIET EVENING
Local Hero (1983)
I like the place, the people and the fact that it takes its time. A film I’m quite happy to sit through again.
Tin Chapel
Please wait while we fetch the latest chapel information.
A LITTLE LESS CHAPEL. A LITTLE MORE GEOFF.
This page is not part of the main Chapel of Letus Salata website.
HELLO, AND WELCOME
I’ve enjoyed looking at other people’s personal pages, so I thought I would make one of my own. These are a few of my favourite things. You may have different favourites, which is perfectly reasonable as I'm probably quite a bit older than most of you.
I'd appreciate it if you didn't tell Glyn or Stephen that you have found this secret page; I have already been warned about improper use of chapel resources and I'm sure they wouldn't approve of this.

RECORDS I COME BACK TO
No music starts automatically on this page. I find that very irritating on other websites. Please do have a listen if you haven't heard any of these before.
Glen Campbell · 1968
One of those records you stop what you’re doing to listen to.
Dire Straits · 1978
I always mean to turn this down and then don’t.
Gerry Rafferty · 1978
Particularly good on the way home.
The Kinks · 1967
A whole little world in one song.
Supertramp · 1979
Still sounds good. I have checked.
“Listen” opens a YouTube search in a new tab. You can keep this page open.

The most beautiful car I have ever seen, but, apparently they have a tendency to catch fire.
The modern 2016-19 version. An accessible Italian sportscar.
Good visibility, a proper boot and very little effort to disguise what it is.

I don’t mind knowing what happens. Sometimes that is part of the appeal.

FOR THE CARS
The original. I enjoy the planning almost as much as the driving. I have my own views on the ending.
ONE MORE FAVOURITE
Walter Matthau is excellent. Everybody looks as though they were already having a difficult day.
I’ve seen people collecting quotations on their websites. Here are a few observations of my own.
“I do not always need the last word, but I do need the last word to be accurate.”
Geoff Thomas
“Unreachable global numbers; reachable neighbours.”

Buildings, lanes and things you would otherwise walk past. It’s good to have a reason to look properly.
A paper map, a road I haven’t tried, and enough time to stop if something looks interesting.
I remember enjoying Max Payne. There is room on the computer for things other than Chapel business.
A little page on the World Wide Web.
